I don’t mind admitting I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, which is why Easter is always a fun time. I know the giving of chocolate eggs and the like is more aimed at children but I think we all like to indulge occasionally. However, whilst this may be the case, I find I get more excited about some of the delicious recipes available, using traditional Easter ingredients.
I won’t pretend to suggest I know what I’m talking about when it comes to producing some delicious Easter meals, instead I have spent my lunchtime browsing through some mouth-watering ideas from the BBC Good Food pages.
Luxurious Roast Lamb
As traditional Easter meals go, lamb has to be right up there. There are quite a few good lamb based recipes on the site but this lamb dish took my fancy.
It screams of traditional flavours and sounds like a good hearty dish for, what looks like, will be a cold weekend.
A Lighter Fish Option
However, if it’s not going to be lamb, I might be tempted to go for a fish dish. You have to go with a white fish at Easter and this cod, bacon, lettuce and peas combo sounds delicious.
The flavours look like they perfectly complement each other and it feels like a lighter dish.
Only problem I have now is choosing which one!
